Sounds Great Musical Services carries the largest selection of
music in the Nation's Capital; 10,000 songs are at every function
where we perform. We are totally up to date with the latest
dance tracks and can also go as far back as the 1930's & 1940's
in order to satisfy your musical desires. We encourage requests
from the crowd and encourage people throughout the function to
make requests. Our music also includes a good selection of
French music and bilingual disc-jockeys are available upon
request.
Our disc-jockeys are a very experienced group; most have been
with our company for at least five years and many longer than ten
years. Experienced, approachable, well-mannered, well-dressed
and versed in etiquette, they have been taught to read a crowd
and react to you & your guests musical tastes. Using the
microphone we will ask people to bring us their requests and we
will gladly play those requests (we will ask the host before
playing anything questionable).
Our dress code is simple; dress shirt, tie, dress pants and dress
shoes (jacket usually gone after first 3 dances).
We will make any announcements you wish and are happy to
help with any door prizes or spot dances. We motivate people
with our music. We do, however, use the microphone to our best
advantage and have fun with it.
Our lighting consists mainly of line-dancers and questars and
mushrooms and sparklers and double derbies. These lights are
available upon request at no additional price.
Even though we use the top quality professional reliable
equipment, each system that we send out has a backup amplifier,
mixer and CD player. This is very important as any problem can
be solved immediately. No delay while something is brought from
the warehouse.
We also provide Karaoke Services at reasonable rates.
Our company has been operating in the Ottawa area since 1972
and I have been the manager since 1977. We provide contracts
to every customer and we still accept personal cheques. We
have many satisfied customers and can provide you with
references.
Our fees include setup, lighting and the use of our microphone
for the speeches. We can also provide background music for
dinner. Wireless microphones are available upon request.
